I am a mummy to two beautiful boys and the face behind Little J Photography.  Becoming a mum completely changed the way I see the world — and it’s what led me to photography. I know how fast those newborn days disappear — the sleepy cuddles, the tiny details, the way your baby fits so perfectly in your arms for such a short time.

That experience has shaped everything about how I work as a photographer. I don’t just take photos — I focus on preserving the feeling of those early days. The quiet moments, the chaos, the love, and everything in between. I understand what it’s like to have a newborn at home, so I create an environment where you can simply be with your baby while I gently capture your story.

My sessions are relaxed, natural, and completely child-led. Whether I’m photographing a newborn, a growing family, or older children full of energy and personality, I aim to create a calm space where everyone can simply be themselves.

Based in Midlothian, I offer in-home newborn, maternity, children and family photography designed to feel natural, comfortable and personal — because I know these moments matter in a way words can’t fully describe.
